You can download the Rooster Money app from the Apple app store or the Google Play store in the UK.
Once the app has downloaded, open it up and follow the steps below to set up your account:
Confirm that you are a parent (The account must be created by an adult, you can add a child profile later)
Tap 'Create a new family account' (If you are being added as a secondary parent/guardian to an existing family account, make sure you select ‘Join existing family’, if you create a new account with your own email address, you won’t be able to use the same email address to join an existing account later)
Enter your details and create your password
Complete the Parent Sign Up page
Let us know why you’re signing up - don’t worry if you tap the wrong product, this won’t affect what sort of account is created
Success! You’ve now set up your account
At this stage, you can explore the app a little more, or you can go ahead and create your first Child profile.
Select Add Child
Fill in the personal details for your child
You can complete the profile set-up now, or you can continue and create the first regular allowance:
Enter the allowance amount
Select the frequency the allowance is paid
Confirm the day of the week the allowance should be paid
You’ve now completely set up your account!
To add any additional child profiles:
Open the 'Menu' in the top right from your family dashboard
Click on 'Manage Account'
Tap the Plus '+' icon found in the 'Your children' section and follow the steps to add your child
