Cancelling your Rooster Card

How to cancel your Rooster Card monthly or annual subscription

Updated over a year ago

There are two types of Rooster Card subscription - annual and monthly.

The annual and monthly subscriptions can both be cancelled in app, and in both cases once you have cancelled this will take effect as soon as your current subscription ends.

We recommend you use the remainder of your subscription period to ensure that all remaining funds are removed from your Rooster Money account - once your subscription is no longer active you will not be able to withdrew funds via the app, and you will need to contact our Customer Service Team on hello@roostermoney.com or via 'Contact Us' in app who will be able to assist you in removing these funds.

I would like to cancel my monthly NatWest Rooster Card subscription

You can cancel your NatWest Rooster Money subscription at any time, however, the cancellation won’t take effect until your current monthly subscription expires.

To cancel your monthly subscription, follow these steps:

  • From the family dashboard, select Menu

  • Select Rooster Card

  • Tap the pen and paper icon next to the subscription you would like to cancel

  • Select the option to cancel

  • Complete the cancellation steps and confirm

Your subscription will then update to show the new end date.

You must ensure that you have removed all funds in the account before your account is officially cancelled, if you forget or do not do this in time, then please reach out to the Customer Service team who will arrange for a bank transfer to return these funds to the Primary Parent/Guardian within 7 working days.

What do I do if I still have a real money balance in a cancelled NatWest Rooster Card account

If you no longer have an active Rooster Card subscription, then you will also lose the ability to move or withdraw funds in the account via the app.

In the event that you still have money in your Child’s account or in your Parent Account, please reach out to the Customer Service team on either hello@roostermoney.com or via ‘Contact Us’ in app.

We are able to arrange a bank transfer to return the funds to the Primary Parent only. You will need to provide details of the recipient bank to our team, and bank transfers typically take 7 working days.
